About Me

I'm a suburban wife and mom trying my best to live a life much more interesting than that sounds.  I love reading (though I rarely find the time), watching TV (always seem to have time for that), drinking coffee at 5:00AM all by myself in peace and blissful quiet while I write (or waste time on Facebook), drinking wine - red or white (though tequila or vodka will do), music, exercizing (okay, that's a lie - I hate exercizing, but I really love how I feel when I am done), the beach (best place on earth), going out with my girlfriends, and spending time with my husband and two wonderfully frustrating spectacular children (oh crap, should I have put that first instead of last?)

My skirt! Interview

I am most proud of: Sticking by my husband through thick and thin.
I am most guilty of: Wasting time and not doing what I KNOW I need to be doing. (Um, I think the word for that is laziness!)
I can't live without:
The world would be a better place, if only: Everybody treated everybody else the way they want to be treated. (And I mean EVERYBODY...myself included - ahem!)
Words I live by: Choose your battles wisely.
Favorite Books and Writers: Hmmm, this is a tough one. I'm reading "Charlotte's Web" by E.B. White with my daughter and am falling in love with that wonderful story so beautifully written all over again. But off the top of my head some books I've loved have been "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb, "White Oleander" by Janet Fitch, "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austin (had serious withdrawls when I finished), "The Lady and the Unicorn" and "The Girl with the Pearl Earring" by Tracy Chevalier, "Memiors of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden, "Black and Blue" by Anna Quindlen...I could go on and on (so I will just a little) I love the alphabet mystery books by Sue Grafton (she is so freaking funny) and for guilty chick lit pleasure I of course loved "Bridget Jones's Diary" by Helen Fielding and "The Gospel According to Sydney Welles" were fantastic! Oooh, oooh, and I did just love "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. And I don't read him anymore, but I grew up addicted to Stephen King and think he really is a great storyteller and a great writer.
Favorite Music: Ah, I still feel like I'm stuck in the 80's. INXS will forever be my favorite (I still mourn the loss of Michael Hutchence and cannot even talk about the latest goings on with JD Fortune - WTF?!?) U2 of course rocks like nobody else. Sheryl Crow and the Dixie Chicks are amazing (especially live). My husband says I like what he calls "Mommy Rock" - John Mayer (damn he writes amazing lyrics), The Fray, David Cook (though I was not a huge fan of his album), Daughtry. I would see almost anyone play live.
