McGrath Family Farm

The McGrath Family Farm at 505 North Wood Road, Camarillo (take the Central Avenue offramp from the 101...McGrath is just south of the freeway) has been around for 5 generations.  The deepest topsoil and one of the world's best farming climates produces an utopian garden farm. McGrath is a sustainable farm that grows a high diversity of year-round organic fruits and vegetables for the Ventura County community.  You can also find McGrath's 100% organic produce and flowers at 7 different farmers markets located in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.  The farm offers group tours for $7 (minimum 20, maximum 80) that last approximately one hour.  You can also schedule a visit to their petting zoo or a pick-you-own party.

I love this farm and visit it every time I'm in Camarillo.  The staff is incredible and I love knowing that I am supporting a local business with roots in the community and green business practices (even their plastic bags are biodegradable!)  Check out their website and sign up for their mailing list for coupons and recipes and to learn about special events including parties with musical performances and food crafted from world renouned chefs.  The next time you're in the area check out the farm for an amazing organic treat!
